New Zealand’s pollution rates are rapidly increasing with plastic accounting for an estimated 20% of landfill space. Around 252,000 tons of plastic heads to our landfills every year. Due to plastic taking over 400 years to degrade, and even then not even fully degrading, plastic ends up in our oceans, with devastating effects like birds, fish, and mammals ingesting plastic, causing health issues, death, and even species-level extinction. Being able to limit this amount of plastic not only going into the landfill, but also our oceans, even by a little bit, has an opportunity to make our local community and environment a better place for everyone.

Welcome!
